An economic investigation of sugarcane production, processing and marketing: A case study of Fulbaria Upazila at Mymensingh district

Fulbaria is an Upazila (with 402.41 km2 land area) at Mymensingh District. Here agriculture the main source of income. It famous for sugarcane production and processing. many farmers produce process it to make red sugar, which unique in Bangladesh. Sugarcane important crop worldwide due its nutritional economic uses. The aim our study examine profitability cultivation District Main objectives were explore area, processing sugarcane, factors affecting constraints this area. Data randomly collected from 90 farmers. A well-structured questionnaire was used collecting data. We have both descriptive functional analyses study. Per hectare cost area Tk. 245970. Net return 174030 Average BCR 1.70.So a significant farm business Human labor, irrigation, insecticides cost, transportation, seed positively but fertilizer negatively on gross But face various problems like lack capital, industry or factory mill, storage marketing, natural calamities etc. This will try analyse significance solutions specific problems. And provide recommendations improving condition by using modern technology.
